Epoxy-polyester powder coatings are designed for decorative and general protective use on indoor metal products, balancing appearance, mechanical performance, adhesion, chemical resistance and cost. Typical applications include furniture powder coating, appliance powder coating, sports equipment, office furniture, indoor shelving, radiators, industrial cabinets and automotive functional parts.
Smooth and textured powder coating finishes are available. Smooth products cover high-gloss, medium-gloss, matt and low-gloss appearances and can be formulated for improved flow or flexibility. Textured products include fine and coarse sand textures, wrinkle and orange-peel effects, with good hiding and application characteristics. Product selection can be refined by color, gloss, texture, film thickness and curing conditions; selected formulations can cure at approximately 150°C.

Epoxy-polyester hybrid powder coatings combine epoxy and polyester resins to balance protection, decorative appearance, and cost.
Advantages include good adhesion, flow, flexibility, and appearance, with a wide range of colors and gloss levels.
Compared with pure epoxy systems, they offer better appearance retention and yellowing resistance and are suitable for industrial applications requiring balanced overall performance and cost.
Their main limitation is that weathering resistance is generally lower than that of dedicated outdoor polyester systems, making them unsuitable for long-term high-UV exposure.
Chemical resistance and protection in highly corrosive environments are generally lower than with pure epoxy systems, and they are not the first choice for long-term high-temperature service.
Hybrid powder coatings are widely used for office furniture, appliance housings, shelving, general industrial equipment, and indoor metal products.
For long-term outdoor exposure, high-corrosion environments, or special protection requirements, select weather-resistant polyester, pure epoxy, or another dedicated system according to the service conditions.
Hybrid powder coatings provide a medium level of corrosion resistance, between pure epoxy and polyester systems, and are suitable for general indoor industrial environments.
Their corrosion resistance is strongly affected by the epoxy/polyester ratio, pretreatment, film thickness, and formulation design, so a fixed salt-spray duration cannot be assigned simply by chemistry.
Compared with pure epoxy systems designed primarily for high corrosion protection, hybrid coatings emphasize a balance of appearance, mechanical performance, corrosion resistance, and cost.
HY0S and HY0F both provide good chemical and corrosion resistance.
Under the specified laboratory test conditions, they passed ISO 9227 neutral salt spray for 1,000 h with no blistering, peeling, or obvious discoloration.
Typical HY0S applications include furniture and appliances, exercise equipment, office desks and chairs, indoor metal shelving, radiators, and some automotive functional components.
HY0F is mainly used for indoor furniture and appliances, exercise equipment, office desks and chairs, and housings for electrical and signal cabinets.
