Description
This is a high-durability polyester-TGIC smooth metallic powder coating that provides a controlled metallic decorative effect within a 6–10 year weathering system. The coating is based on a polyester-TGIC system designed for high-durability outdoor decorative and protective requirements, with a 6–10 year weathering durability rating. It is suitable for relevant markets outside Europe and meets the applicable requirements of AAMA2603 and GB/T 5237.4-2017 (Class I) for architectural applications. With customized formulation, the curing temperature can be reduced to 160°C. In metallic-effect systems, the orientation and reflection of metallic pigments directly influence color, brightness and visual uniformity, making the application window more sensitive than for conventional solid-color powders. Spray voltage, gun distance, film thickness and reclaimed-powder ratio should be controlled carefully, and frequent changes in application conditions should be avoided during production. Confirming the final color and metallic appearance on actual parts or representative sample panels before volume production helps maintain consistency between parts and batches.
