Description
This is a high-durability polyester-HAA smooth metallic powder coating designed for coating systems requiring both exterior weathering performance and a metallic decorative finish. The coating is based on a high-durability polyester-HAA system and is suitable for applications requiring 6–10 years of outdoor weathering durability, with performance comparable to Qualicoat Class 1, AAMA2603 and GB/T 5237.4-2017 (Class I) requirements. The minimum curing temperature can be as low as 160°C. The formulation is TGIC-free, complies with applicable REACH restrictions, and is suitable for relevant markets including Europe. Compared with solid-color powder coatings, metallic pigments create metallic reflection, tonal variation and greater visual depth. The final metallic appearance is more sensitive to electrostatic application parameters, film thickness, part geometry and the proportion of reclaimed powder. Validation on the actual substrate and coating line is recommended before volume production, with consistent spraying and curing conditions maintained to minimize appearance variation between parts and batches.
