Description
This is a standard-durable polyester-TGIC smooth metallic powder coating that provides a metallic appearance while meeting general exterior decorative and protective requirements. The coating is based on a polyester-TGIC system with a 1–5 year weathering durability rating and is suitable for general outdoor requirements and relevant markets outside Europe. With formulation adjustments, the minimum curing temperature can be reduced to 140°C. Special applications such as food-contact use must be confirmed in advance during the project stage. Metallic pigments give the coating a reflective, tonal appearance distinct from solid-color powders. Because the orientation and distribution of metallic pigments can be influenced by the electrostatic application process, changes in film thickness, gun settings, part geometry and reclaimed-powder ratio may cause visible appearance variation. Actual line validation before volume production and stable process parameters during production are recommended.
